Welcome to the new website of Maryport Against Racism.
Our old website looked a bit dull and wasn’t updated frequently enough, though that’s mainly because we’ve not been doing very much.
On here we’ll be posting details of what we’re up to, upcoming events and activities as well as local news, analysis and what’s going on nationally.
Racist groups will be targetting the whole of Cumbria in forthcoming elections and we in Maryport can’t be everywhere, it’s up to others to take on racist groups in their own communities though we’re happy to come and help out if needed. We can provide arguments, information resources and help but we can’t do everything!
This isn’t the finished product, the website is still a work in progress and there’s lots to add.
We’re also happy to accept articles for the website from supporters, if they’re any good, in fact the more people who want to contribute the better.
